TRAINING POLICY OF THE INSTITUTE OF SYNERGOLOGY (IDS)
Commitment to confidentiality and non-disclosure
By registering for an IDS training course, whether online or face-to-face, you agree to abide by the terms of this training policy, particularly with regard to the confidentiality of training materials and the non-disclosure of lessons.
Intellectual property
All training materials, including but not limited to documents, videos, presentations, exercises and case studies, are the exclusive property of IDS or other accredited synergology institutes. They are protected by copyright laws and may not be reproduced, distributed, modified or shared in any form without the prior written permission of IDS.
Recording and broadcasting
It is strictly forbidden to record, film, photograph or broadcast all or part of the training courses, whether online or face-to-face, without the prior written authorization of IDS. This prohibition extends to all media, including social media platforms, personal websites and messaging applications.
Personal, non-commercial use
Training materials are intended for strictly personal, non-commercial use. You undertake not to use them for commercial purposes, in particular by reselling or renting them, or by using them for competing training courses.
Confidentiality of information

Limited synergology practice
As a student, you can never practice synergology and publicly place yourself in a formal position as an interpreter of non-verbal language.
Until you have obtained the title of Synergologist, awarded by the Association Québécoise de Synergologie or the Association Européenne de Synergologie, you cannot call yourself a Synergologist.
Confirmation of attendance
An invitation will be sent to you a few days before each training session. Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible so that we can ensure that the session runs smoothly.
Payment
Payment for each training session is due prior to the start of the session. In the case of payment by cheque, an additional fee of $20 will be charged for any NSF cheque.
Assessment and certification
Each program includes a number of assessments. The pass mark is 75%. If necessary, three retakes are possible per exam. However, after two failures, the Institute will recommend a coaching session. This session, of a duration to be mutually agreed, will focus on the points to be reinforced. A fee of $125/hr applies to coaching sessions.
A document issued by IDS certifying that you have successfully completed a training program in synergology will be given to you after you have attended all the training sessions required for the chosen program and passed all the evaluations.
By accepting this training policy, you acknowledge that you have been informed that training in synergology, while enabling you to acquire or improve the knowledge required to practice a profession, is not recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur du Québec.
Compliance with the Code of Ethics

Modifications
IDS reserves the right to modify this training policy at any time. Modifications will take effect as soon as they are published on the IDS website.
